Capri Sun Kids' Choice Awards Party & Vanilla Almond Confetti Popcorn

My kids have been excited to watch the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards this Saturday, March 28th, and thought what a better way to celebrate than with Capri Sun Roarin' Waters— our favorite low calorie, lightly fruit-flavored water beverage—and Vanilla Almond Party Popcorn! For a party theme we chose Power Rangers, one of their all-time favorite Nickelodeon shows.



In preparation for our party we headed to Walmart to purchase Capri Sun Roarin' Waters, party supplies, and ingredients for the popcorn mix. Although ours didn't, some Walmart locations will have a special Capri Sun Roarin' Waters Kids' Choice Awards display.

One of our family-favorite recipes is Vanilla Almond Party Popcorn. It's surprisingly easy to make for how tasty it is. Don't have a popcorn popper? This video shows you how to pop it in a pot on the stove.

Vanilla Almond Party Popcorn

1/2 bar Vanilla Almond Bark

3/4 - 1 cup plain popped popcorn

Colored sprinkles

First, cut the Vanilla Almond Bark into 12 half-squares, then melt in a bowl in the microwave for 60 seconds. Stir, then microwave and stir for additional 15 second increments till fully melted and smooth.

Meanwhile, make the popcorn and spread over a wax paper lined baking tray. Drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn, stirring slightly.

Top with sprinkles. Let set completely (we put it in the fridge for about 5 minutes to help it settle faster) then enjoy!

With table set up and the kids dressed we were ready to party! We had fun coordinating colorful plates, balloons, etc. to go with the Power Rangers theme. We got the coloring pages from Pinterest.

My kids loved the Capri Sun Roarin' Waters Tropical Fruit flavor with their party popcorn and snacks, along with watching a couple of their favorite Power Rangers episodes in preparations for the awards.
