Slow Toy Movement Campaign

I'm really intrigued with the idea of the Slow Toy Movement. I'll admit that when my 7-year-old was young I felt the need to give him toys that had a lot going on to entertain him. I bought a lot of toys that had lights, sounds, the works. Soon I started to realize that 1. Toys that require batteries cost more, and 2. When the batteries died he stopped playing with it as much almost as if the entertainment factor was gone. I feel like at this point I started trying to find more toys that would encourage creativity.

Although I've improved in providing my kids with educational toys that will further their development, I could still use some help. This Slow Toy Movement gives a lot of insight into what toys I should be buying for my kids. They have some great recommendations I suggest checking out!
