I can honestly say it didn't take me long after he was born to realize that parenting, although rewarding in countless ways, is also A LOT of work! Besides making sure his needs were met, I had this idea that I had to be a do-it-all mom, even to the point of not being able to sleep if the house wasn't perfectly clean.
With time, and two more kids plus three times as busy, I have been learning that being a good mom has less to do with things like having an immaculate house and planning extravagant activities, and more with finding practical ways to spend time with them. Actually, most of the time they prefer simple activities like riding their bikes or playing dress-ups.
My goal with this site is to share PRACTICAL family activities, parenting advice, and kid-friendly recipes to help simplify life so you can focus more on building lasting memories with your kids. After all, we know they grow up too fast to focus on anything besides that!
