Lucky Charms Cupcakes Recipe

Lately I've been trying to bake more with the kids on the weekend when we have time to do it together. The kids were begging to make cupcakes so we decided to make some for St. Patrick's Day, and we love how they turned out!

We kept it simple by using a boxed cake mix, but you can use your favorite homemade recipe if you'd rather.

Lucky Charms Cupcakes

vanilla or white cake mix

vegetable oil - eggs

water - vanilla frosting

green food coloring

Lucky Charms cereal

green sprinkles (optional)

Preheat oven. Mix cupcake batter according to box, adding a few drops of green food coloring.

My kids love helping me put the liners in the cupcake pan, poor ingredients in the bowl, and use the mixer!

Fill the papers about 1/2 full.

Bake according to box, let cool completely. Mix a few drops of food coloring into the frosting. Frost cupcakes, then top with Lucky Charms cereal and sprinkles if desired.
