Healthy Chocolate Protein Shakes give the perfect boost for breakfast or post workout. I have low blood sugar and find the combination of protein powder with milk and peanut butter gives me the energy I need in the morning without needing to take time to cook breakfast. They taste great-- even my picky kids love the flavor!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 c. skim or low fat milk
2/3 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 1/2 c. skim or low fat milk
2/3 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 heaping spoonful peanut butter
1/2 frozen banana, 6-8 ice cubes
Directions:
I prefer to use our Magic Bullet Express Mixing Set to make individual shakes, but a blender also works well. First add the ice, then milk and remaining ingredients. Blend till smooth, and add additional ice or milk to reach desired consistency. Serve immediately in a the Magic Bullet cup or a glass with an Extra Wide Drinking Straw.
ENJOY!!

I think I'll need to try this out. I've never bought protein powders before though.
ReplyDeleteI think you should! I will also put milk and protein powder in a blender bottle, but the peanut butter and banana in this recipe give it a better flavor!
